Together We Laugh, Celebrate and Challenge Each Other

We are convinced that the place where students learn has a decisive influence on how they learn. We therefore place great importance on an open school space that provides a welcoming atmosphere to students, staff, parents and guests alike, thus creating a pleasant overall environment. We cultivate multiple signature school events and regularly participate in actions that involve all SIS schools around the globe.

Learning Spaces

SIS Kassel is located in the Marbachshöhe district of Kassel, surrounded by generous recreational and sports areas. It offers bright and friendly classrooms and course rooms equipped with contemporary infrastructure and advanced teaching technology.

As a Lively Community we Cherish our School Traditions and Signature Events

We foster a sense of community at the school in a variety of ways: projects across class groups, or various theme weeks. Sports days, winter and summer festivals are all an integral part of our school calendar, as is the celebration of local and international holidays and traditions.

SIS International Activities

We arrange numerous activities for our students to enable international exchange. In particular, the SIS Cup and the annual Intercountry Activity enable a shared experience and build friendships.

For the SIS Cup, everything revolves around the themes of sport, fairness and fun over two days. Every year, teams from all SIS schools compete against each other at one of our locations in individual and team disciplines and there is cheering, playing, sweating and laughing.

In addition to sports, we also connect our learners through the annual Intercountry Activity, which promotes international exchange. In past years, we have held international maths days, a parcel swap, a story-writing exchange, and a photo activity.

Furthermore, we honour the three best final papers submitted by SIS graduates with the SIS Best Essay Award. The written essays are produced as part of the final exams written for the Matura, Abitur or International Baccalaureate (IB).

We will continue to develop exciting formats. Be part of it!

The SIS Cup floorball tournament takes place in a big school gym. The national flags of Germany, Brazil and Switzerland hang from the ceiling.
