Table Tennis Tournament

SIS Zürich-Wollishofen held its annual table tennis tournament in March and April. Primary 4 to 6 students are invited to participate in the tournament. The tournament takes place over 5 weeks, culminating in the final "knock-out" stage where the champion is determined. Students are responsible for checking the tournament board to see who they play the next match with. Next, they must determine together with their match partner when they will play the game. It is a positive learning experience for students to practice independence, integrity, and good sportsmanship. The weeks are exciting as the score board gradually gets filled and possible winners are narrowed down. There is an awards ceremony soon after the knock-out where medals for the top players are distributed, with a gold, silver, and seven bronze medals.
