Donau-Einkaufszentrum (DEZ) Minimarathon

Every year the DEZ Mini Marathon brings together children from the city of Regensburg and the surrounding area to take part in different runs. The length of the run is based on age and was between 1 and 4,2 km for the different age groups. The run is always a fun event to take part in, and SIS Regensburg students enjoyed the relaxed (but still competitive!) atmosphere. Mr. Dietrich Hayes, an avid runner himself, helped organise the entry for our students and kept them motivated on the day itself! The parent council ensured that the students were hydrated and had something to snack on to replenish their energy after their run and many parents cheered on their children from the side. Every student was awarded a medal for their effort. Moreover, it was a chance for the students to connect outside of school and enjoy a mutual interest activity. It was a great opportunity for the school community to come together.
