Mars Rover Landing

The current theme in kindergarten 2 is space, with particular focus on the solar system. They have been integrating many subjects into their exploration of Earth's neighborhood. From crafting their own 3-D planets to counting asteroids, this term has been a lot of fun. While studying Mars, they investigated developments in space exploration. With so much excitement with the Mars Rover, students had the opportunity to build their own Mars Rovers compete with parachutes. Once the building was complete, each student tested their own Mars Rover by dropping it over the balcony of the kindergarten building. The goal was to land theirs inside a hula hoop. It was a fun experience, with students cheering each other on and drawing reflections of their experiment.
