Each class in our Primary School has a German-speaking and an English-speaking class teacher. These two teachers take turns teaching the children in nearly equal measure in an English classroom and a German classroom. The development of language skills in German and English are of paramount importance. This is why SIS has developed its own bilingual reading and writing curriculum. Subjects such as mathematics or social sciences are taught in both languages, ensuring that your children acquire a broad vocabulary.
Our school life is enriched by our annual book week and participation in reading competitions – for which our students have already won many distinctions – school concerts and musicals, as well as by weekly school assemblies, which strengthen school bonds.
Lessons take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and school days are divided into regular intervals with time for learning, play and breaks. Our before school care from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. allows children to arrive and get ready for the day. We offer homework supervision from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., your children can participate in after school clubs, or they can read, play or rest.
The primary school at SIS Stuttgart-Fellbach is a state recognised private school. Please take note of this important information on the school's status.
