On Monday 18 May 2020, Grade 4 students returned to join Grade 11 and 12 back at school at SIS Friedrichshafen. For the staff, hearing student voices again in the school building was a great relief and brought colour back into their daily duties.

Teacher demonstrations are a crucial part of teaching and learning, especially when encountering new skills. Despite the distance enforced by a school closure, Visual Arts teacher, Ms Analise Hughes, has been able to continue teaching drawing skills to our art students in Primary and Secondary School by creating her own tutorial videos. Through filming her own work she enables students to get up close to the skills in practice and has greater influence over the input of teacher demonstrations.
