In August 2020, SIS Frankfurt opens its doors
The new SIS Swiss International School Frankfurt is currently under construction in Oberursel, just a few minutes by car from Germany’s banking metropolis. Starting with the 2020/21 school year, the new school with a reception class and primary school will open up its doors in a remodeled building at An der drei Hasen 34-36. Admission is now open to students. To apply, click on "Admission" in the left Hand column.
At SIS Frankfurt, students will learn in German and English, taught by native speakers. We use the immersion method of language learning, which invites children to dive headfirst into language acquisition. Students use the new language to engage with the world in a playful and completely natural way. They are immersed in an environment where only the new language is used. Lessons are based on the Hessian Core Curriculum and the SIS Curricula. The school community reflects the SIS Educational Concept, focusing on bilingual education, diversity, an active school community as well as international education and local insight.
SIS Frankfurt will be an all-day school with early morning care before lessons, lunch, and afternoon activities like supervised study sessions or sports and arts clubs. Over the course of the next few years, the school will grow step by step to encompass grades 5 through 13. Eventually, students will be able to complete the Hessian Abitur and, in addition, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.
