Marc Corner, Principal
Marc Corner has joined SIS Stuttgart-Fellbach as its principal in the Summer of 2019. A British National, he has previously spent five years as principal of three international vocational schools in Saudi Arabia, looking back on a teaching career of 20 years.
A graduate of the University of Huddersfield, where he completed a bachelor’s degree in Education, Marc Corner went on to complete his studies with a Master of Education (Leadership and Management) at the Open University. The focal point of his work in schools both in the UK and abroad was physical education and outdoor education.
Marc Corner is looking forward to shaping SIS Stuttgart-Fellbach with new ideas, always putting the children first in the process. He is a passionate educator and strives to maintain a safe, engaging and reflexive school environment that allows all students to reach their full potential.
Richard Williamson, Vice-Principal
Richard Williamson has been the Vice Principal of SIS Stuttgart-Fellbach since 2011.
Richard Williamson lived and worked in England until 2010, when he moved to Germany. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of the West of England, and qualified as a teacher at the University of Nottingham. Later, he completed a master’s degree in educational leadership and management at Nottingham Trent University. Prior to moving to Germany, he taught at schools in England where he was head of science, head of IT, E-learning co-ordinator and a member of the senior leadership team.
Richard Williamson's motivations for being a teacher are to be in a position to enthuse students about the subject, to have a positive effect on people's lives and to interact with young people.
Jessica Poser, Head of Secondary School
Seit 2017 unterrichtet Jessica Poser die Fächer Mathematik (Abitur und IB) und Chemie an der SIS Stuttgart-Fellbach und übernahm 2019 die Stufenleitung der Oberstufe.
Ihr Lehramtsstudium hat sie an der Eberhard-Karls-Universität in Tübingen absolviert. Nach dem Referendariat arbeitete sie an einer Privatschule, an der sie Aufgaben in einem erweiterten Schulleitungsteam und weitere schulorganisatorische Aufgaben übernommen hat. Ehrenamtlich engagiert sie sich in der Jugendarbeit.
Schülerorientierter Unterricht, der eine Verknüpfung des Lernstoffes mit dem realen Leben und das Wecken der Begeisterung für Naturwissenschaften und Mathematik aufzeigt, ist ihr wichtig. Dabei Jugendliche auf ihrem Bildungsweg zu begleiten und auf eine globalisierte Welt vorzubereiten, bilden eine Motivation ihrer Arbeit.
Claudia Bath, Head of Secondary School
Claudia Bath ist seit September 2019 Leiterin der Unter- und Mittelstufe des Gymnasiums der SIS Stuttgart-Fellbach.
Sie absolvierte ihr Lehramtsstudium in den Fächern Deutsch und Geschichte sowie einige Semester Mathematik an der Universität Stuttgart. Dem folgte ein Zweitstudium einiger Semester in Kunstgeschichte und Linguistik. Währenddessen begann sie mit der Arbeit an ihrer Doktorarbeit im Bereich Allgemeine und Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft und war als Sprachtrainerin im Bereich Deutsch als Zweitsprache bei verschiedenen Stuttgarter Instituten tätig. Im Anschluss daran erfolgte ihr Referendariat.
Seit 2017 arbeitet Claudia Bath an der SIS-Fellbach und erwarb die Lehrbefähigung für den Fachbereich Individuals and Societies bei der International Bacccalaureate Organisation (IBO).
Suzanne Füllemann, Head of Primary School
Suzanne Füllemann has been the Head of Primary School at SIS Stuttgart-Fellbach since 2008, when the school was first opened. She also teaches in grades 1 and 2.
Suzanne Füllemann was born and educated in the UK and qualified in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in primary education with qualified teaching status at Lancaster University. When she had completed her studies, Suzanne Füllemann worked at schools in the North East of the UK. After moving to Germany, she worked for nearly ten years at the International School in Stuttgart-Degerloch.
She has a passion for teaching and learning in an international environment and promotes the core values and attitudes of becoming global citizens with all her students who are the decision makers of the future.
Suzanne Füllemann has now been living and working in Germany for over twenty years and has settled in Weinstadt, one of the most beautiful towns in the Remstal valley! She is married with a teenage son and all of the members of her family are passionate climbers, mountain bikers and travellers.
Mayla da Silva, Head of Kindergarten
Mayla da Silva has been part of the SIS team since 2018 and in the fall of 2021 became head of the Kindergarten at SIS Stuttgart-Fellbach. Mayla lived and worked in Brazil until 2017 where she earned her Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Psychology from Universidade Metodista de Sao Paulo.
In Germany she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Frühkindliche Bildung und Erziehung from Evangelische Hochschule Ludwigsburg. She worked in large schools in Brazil, where she was Head of Kindergarten, Primary School and Secondary School as well as school counselor.
The international environment and experiences around the world are part of her philosophy of life. Mayla da Silva believes that being an educator is having a fundamental role in society, it is helping students and children to be citizens of the world and protagonists of their own history.
