SIS Kassel Primary School Now Fully Recognised by the State

Small Celebration to Mark the Occasion

Six years after it was founded, SIS Swiss International School Kassel primary school has received full recognition by the state. It is therefore now equal to state school in every regard.

Adhering to Corona regulations, the celebration was small, but nevertheless festive. Annette Knieling, director of the Kassel School Office, personally awarded the certificate confirming SIS Kassel’s state recognition to principal Sebastian Koch. From its inception, SIS Kassel has had a strong partner in the Kassel-based company Wintershall Dea. Its head of HR, Dr. Axel Bode, spoke kind words about SIS Kassel’s international spirit and bilingual concept. Parents and students were also present to mark the occasion and school body president Eray Ryll looked ahead to being part of the first class to graduate from SIS Kassel in a few years. There’s still much to do, with state recognition for SIS Kassel’s secondary school another goal for the school’s staff and management. Hopefully, by then such an occasion can once again be celebrated with a proper, big party.
