Before the summer vacation, students of grade 4 were completing training for the German bicycle license. It comprises of a written test and a practical exam out on the roads. The training and subsequent exam are meant to help children know traffic rules, recognize dangerous situations while participating in traffic and gain independence when cycling. The training is run by a police officer, who set out clear rules and guidelines students can follow. The training and test are demanding, but also a very good preparation and an important tool for students to keep themselves safe out on the roads.
