We are very happy to introduce Daniel Lauris as the principal at SIS Swiss International School Frankfurt. He is an experienced teacher and school leader, who has worked at schools in and outside of Germany. Mr. Lauris starts working with SIS Swiss International School Germany now and will be busy for the next couple of weeks finalising the preparations for the start of SIS Frankfurt. Mr. Lauris would like to introduce himself to you:
I am 47 years old, was born in Munich and raised in the South of Bavaria. After studying the subjects German, French and Spanish to become a teacher at a Gymnasium
and then working at Gymnasien
in Augsburg and Munich for ten years, I spent five years at a German school in the Middle East, at which I introduced and supervised the International Baccalaureate Programme. After returning to Germany, I gained school management experience at various school types (Gymnasium
, comprehensive school, vocational school) and also started to study for a second master’s degree in school management. In my opinion, it is crucial for us educators to think and plan school education from the child's perspective: Children want to act and they want to interact – and they are ready to love school. So if we want them to keep loving school, we should offer them the space and the opportunity for action and interaction so that they can develop and unlock their potential. I look forward to meeting you and your children at SIS Frankfurt.
