23 June 2017 was the big day for a class of twelve SIS Berlin graduates, the day on which their secondary school career had reached its final stop. While we can expect future generations of SIS Berlin graduates to be waving their Abitur and IB diplomas around, this year’s was the last generation of students who sat their A-Levels to secure themselves access to leading universities worldwide. Upon receiving their graduation gift and certificate, graduates filed out of the hall to plant a “graduation tree” on campus. This year’s graduation tree is an apple tree that symbolises continuity, hope, optimism, and a lifelong bond between the alumni and their alma mater. We wish them all the very best.
